This is  speculation most has not been verified

John Doyle was born 1748, he died on June 3, 1837 in Tennessee, possibly married twice.  Was in the Revolutionary War.  Was mustered out in Maryland about 1780.  Showed in Knoxville, Tennessee about 1800 with 7 kids, and without a wife.  He received  land grants for service in the war

 James (Jim)  Doyle and Marina Gertrude Thompson 

aka Martha Merina Thompson

     Jim Doyle married first Martha (Mary ) Thompson she died about 1894, he married second Dora Smith had at least one child,  a daughter, Mae Doyle, born unknown died 1927/28 in Oklahoma,  married Crockett Collins, born 1893, Arkansas died before 1927.

 They had three daughters and 1 son  

 1.Lillian Collins         1915

 4. Ruby Lea Collins.

May (Doyle) Collins died around 1927 in Oklahoma her 3 daughters  

Lillian,  Odethel and Ruby Lee were adopted by a William and Yettie Swain in Oklahoma

Story goes, after Martha died and Jim married  Dora, the stepmother didn't like her stepchildren Martha and Sally,  they were sent away to live with friends and relatives where they worked for their room and board. Sally lived with Dr. W Heartsill for awhile and later with Joseph Carter in 1900. The son James Doyle, around the age of 2 fell off a bridge and was swept away in the water, body never found.  

    Jim Doyle was cleaning a water well slipped and fell into the well and drowned.
